1. 현 상황 요약

총회의 출입을 제한하고, 투표권을 주지 않겠다는 선관위의 공지가 발표된 이후, 일부 교민들이 이를 받아들이시며, '투표를 못하는구나, 서로 몸싸움이 나겠구나, 나는 피해야겠다' 라고 생각하셔서 정기 총회의 참석을 주저하셨습니다.

그러나, 우리가 비폭력을 선언하고 충돌 방지를 위한 여러 노력을 기울이고 있음을 알게 되신 이후, 참석을 주저하던 교민께서 다시금 정의를 세우기 위해 한인회관 앞으로 모이기로 결심하기 시작했습니다.

다소 흔들리던 우리 교민사회가 다시 앞으로 전진하고 있음을 11월 23일 그날 현장에서 느끼실 수 있을 것입니다. 서로를 확인하는 뜻 깊고 뜨거운 순간이 될 것이라고 확신합니다.

11월 23일 저녁 7시 이전에 오셔서 누가 한인회관 안으로 들어가는 지, 지켜봐 주시되 직접적인 대응은 자제하여 주십시오.

2. 대응 지침

1) 지금까지 보내드린 여러 공지를 다시 읽고, 널리 공유해 주십시오

2) 한인회비를 납부하지 않으셨다면, 회비(가족당 $30)를 납부하여 주십시오.

•  회비를 안내면 투표권이 없기에, 총회 하루전까지 반드시 납부하셔야 합니다. .

•  납부 방법은 다른 글에 여러 번 공지하였기에 참조하시기 바랍니다.

3) 많은 교민들이 나오셔야 합니다. 교민의 참석을 주저하게 하는 현 한인회의  전략에 흔들리지 말아야 합니다.

•  현 한인회를 지지하는 세력은 특정 단체, 한인회 집행부 및 이사회, 한인회관의 운영에 관여할 수 있는 주택공사 임원 및 그 가족일 겁니다. 그들의 결속력은 강해, 참석율도 높을 것으로 예상합니다.

•  마스크를 쓴 우리들의 숫자가 그들의 숫자보다 적으면, 갑자기 태도를 바꾸어 한인회관의 출입을 허용하고, 엉터리 조항을 그대로 고수하면서, 투표를 실시하려 할 수도 있습니다. 한인회관 앞에 많은 사람이 모여 있는 상황을 이유로 경찰을 부를 가능성도 있습니다. 우리는 조용히, 평화롭게 모여 주십시오.

4) 선관위에 대한 마지막 기회 부여

•  11월 20일 수요일 저녁 7시까지 자유로운 총회의 출입과 회비만 내면 투표권이 있는 종전의 조항으로 환원한다는 선관위/한인회의 공식 발표가 없다면 우리가 수립한 대책을 그날 교민들에게 발표하고 실행하겠습니다.

5) 총회 참가 확인서 (가칭) 를 작성

•  향후 어느 쪽이 더 많은 정회원의 결의를 받았느냐가 중요합니다. 우리가 작성한 총회 참가 확인서에 근거한 참가자의 숫자가 저들이 나중에 제시할 자기들의 숫자보다 적다면 어려움을 겪을 수 있습니다. 그러므로, 회비를 납부하시고 마스크를 쓰시고 참석하여 주십시오

Reuniting Together (November 18, 2024)

1. Current Situation Summary

Since the Election Committee's announcement to restrict access to the General Assembly and deny voting rights, some members of our community have hesitated to attend the meeting, thinking, "I won’t be able to vote; there may be physical altercations; I’d better avoid it."

 

However, upon learning about our declaration of non-violence and efforts to prevent any conflict, those who hesitated have decided to gather in front of the Korean Community Center to stand for justice once again.

 

Our community, which was momentarily shaken, is now moving forward again. On November 23, you will witness this renewed determination on-site. It will be a meaningful and heartfelt moment of solidarity and assurance.

 

Please arrive before 7:00 PM on November 23 to observe who enters the Korean Community Center. However, we ask you to refrain from any direct confrontation.

 

2. Guidelines for Action

Review and Share the Notices:

 

Please read the previously sent notices again and share them widely.

Pay Your Membership Fee:

 

If you haven’t yet paid your membership fee, please do so ($30 per family).

Without paying the membership fee, you will not have the right to vote. It must be paid by the day before the General Assembly.

Details on payment methods have been announced in prior notices. Please refer to them.

Encourage Participation:

 

A large turnout is essential. Do not be swayed by the current strategies of the Korean Association that may discourage participation.

The opposing side likely consists of the Association's executive team, board members, individuals associated with the management of the Korean Community Center, and their families. Their unity is strong, and their attendance is expected to be high.

If our numbers, even masked, are fewer than theirs, they might suddenly change their stance, allow access to the center, and proceed with voting under the current flawed rules. They could even involve the police, citing the large crowd outside. Please gather quietly and peacefully.

Final Opportunity for the Election Committee:

 

If by 7:00 PM on Wednesday, November 20, the Election Committee/Korean Association does not officially announce the restoration of free access to the General Assembly and voting rights upon membership fee payment, we will announce and implement our measures to the community.

Prepare a Participant Confirmation Sheet (Tentative):

 

It is critical to demonstrate which side has garnered the greater support from registered members. If the number of participants on our confirmation sheet is fewer than the number they later claim, we may face difficulties. Therefore, please ensure your participation by paying the membership fee, wearing a mask, and attending.

3. Principle of Peaceful Response

We pledge to respond peacefully.

Comprehensive contingency plans have been prepared, and additional instructions will be provided on-site as needed.

4. Let’s Act Together

Please remain until candidate Kwon Soon-chul declares, "It’s over. You may go now."
